Singer-songwriter Jeremiah Nelson has dabbled in a few different sounds since he moved to Madison, Wisconsin a few years back, from low-key pop production to acoustic honky-tonkin’ at a regular Tuesday gig at Mickey’s. Take Me Down The Interstate, Nelson’s 2008 album with his band The Achilles Heel, never got the follow-up many were looking forward to since the group split in early 2010, shelving an LP’s worth of material. After some worrying about what to do next, Nelson took to his blog to start getting feedback on his new songs, including some lengthy ambient tunes. Many of those ended up on last year’s solo album, Drugs To Make You Sober, along with incredible highlights like the title track and “Skin To Touch.”
We’ve got the full length album for you down here + a nice live session.
